Hello all, I'm not 100% up to date on the rules as I haven't played in some time.

I'm making some Ork nobs and I'm a little confused about what weapons 1 model is allowed to take, are there still rules about the amount of two handed weapons per model? For example - can an Ork Nob take a Big chopper and a kustom shoota? Or a kustom shoota in addition to a Powerclaw?

Thanks for any help.

Rules for what weapons a model may take will be either in the unit's army list entry or in the appropriate wargear/items list.

Generally they specify that a model may replace x with y so it's a matter of replacing certain weapons (generally resulting in as many weapons allowed as they ordinarily come with, though replaced with something else) although sometimes it's phrased that a model may simply take a weapon, in which case it is additional to other weapons.

But yes, there's no general, standard or set limit to the number of weapons a model can take beyond its specific options.

So to answer your question, simply follow what the army list entry says about what options a Nob can take, and follow those. If it refers you to the ranged or melee weapons list then follow the rules there

The old 2 weapon limit is long gone.

Number of hands required for weapons only matters in the assault phase, and then only dictates whether you get a bonus attack for THAT weapon(sorry about the caps for emphasis, on a phone with no brackets key)

Both the examples you gave are legal loadouts

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

Rather than making many threads I have renamed this one.

I'm terrible at the rules, I haven't played for many years, so building an army with a very hazy grasp of the rules isn't the best idea.

Question 2, can a character on a Biker join none biker units?

Cheers.

The only limits for an IC joining a unit are MCs, Vehicles, and Infiltrators.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?
