Alright so i'm still a fairly new player and I do own the Rulebook, but after a game I played yesterday some questions came up that nobody was sure of.

1. Does night fighting remain in affect during the whole game? The book says it comes in play during that turn if the roll is passed but doesn't seem to say anything else. We've been playing with NF only on that turn for now.

2. We weren't sure during the psychic phase if when making the psychic test, and rolling for Deny, if you have to deny each successful role during the test (even if the power in mind costs less warps than the total rolled) or just deny enough to cancel out the warp charges for a specific power.

3. Lance special rule, vs. Necron Quantum shielding special rule? Quantum says until the first pen, FA and SA are 13 and Lance says AV above 12 are treated as 12. We've been playing so far that Codex trumps Rulebook.

4. Daemons of Tzeench special rule says when manifesting psychic's, they get +3 to LD. Now, I know this codex came out before the 7ed Rulebook but I wasn't sure if this could still be applied to like to a LD test for perils or other psychic related scenarios or if it was just completely useless? I didn't see anything in the FAQ and errata for this one.

5. Great Unclean One, under its personal special rules have poisoned (4+) and no cc wep to start with. If given a wep, (ex. being an etherblade [S User, Ap 2]), then does this mean I get to wound on 4's that are ap 2 or does it mean I use solely the weapons profile and ignore the poisoned (4+) or do I just choose which to use?

6. Do you get to deep strike formations in together or roll separately per model (example being a Necron Deathbringer Flight)?

7. Can you use super heavy vehicles and Lords of wars in normal bound battle forged games that aren't apocalypse? Example being the Obelisk/Tesseract vault and Imotekh that are in the newest necron codex. We've been playing that you could, since slot options appear in the classic combined arms detachment force org charts in the Rulebook but weren't positive if we were missing something or not. (I understand this last question may be in the wrong forum and apologize if so)

Any help would be appreciated, thank you. If these are dumb and obvious questions I apologize haha.

1. NF is only 1 game turn

2. if a power needs 2 warp charges, and the caster rolls 3 4+, the denier needs 3 6s to cancel all.

3. Advanced vs basic. This is tricky as both are advanced. I'd say treat it as AV12.

4. extra Ld does not help you not get a perils, but may make the consequences less severe. nids share your pain.

5. monstrous creatures are always AP2 anyway. if, due to high strength the roll is more favourable, you use that (you can choose not to use the poison weapon for a particular combat). note that poison gives you a reroll to wound, depending on S, T, so you need to think about which is better.

6. squadrons would always arrive together. Formations not necessarily unless there is another special rule.

7. Yes, non-apoc has superheavies and Lords of war. eg SM can bring a Thunderhawk in LoW slot in a CAD. Yes Necrons can bring Obelisk/Tesseract vault. Tournaments may have other rules.

5: poison is one of the rules where in cc it is attacks by a model or weapon with this rule.

Any weapon you give him will benefit from the poison rule.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

edit: wrong
Let's say the GUO is hitting a necron warrior. S6 vs T4. You choose not to use poison as you are wounding on 2+ (83% get through). if you used poison 4+, with reroll, 75% get through.

edit: correct
Let's say the GUO is hitting a necron warrior. S6 vs T4. You wound on 2+ with reroll.

If the GUO was hitting a c'tan (T7), (4+, no reroll).

if the GUO was hitting a destroyer lord (T6), (4+, no reroll)

Yeah they changed the poison rule for the higher str.

Mainly because of things like the guo; high str and the model itself has poison so can never choose not to use poison.

Unless it has been changed on 7th it depends on when the NF roll was made, if it is night fighting at the 1st turn it lasts 1 turn if you get night fighting at the 5th it remains for the rest of the game.

It represents a battle being fought at dawn/dusk

It has. ColonelFazackerley is correct.
