I never liked the Tomb Blade models, but since they took over the old battlefield role of the destroyer (fast weapons platform) I've been meaning to convert some. I wanted to get some input on a test model to see what people thought before really committing to mass production (ultimately 10 models). The one thing I wanted to avoid was having a "driver," but instead having a Necron integrated into the chassis. The whole thing is very WIP, almost everything is held together with green stuff right now, but I have started adding some details like the green stuff control panel, and the green stuff filling of the hole below the torso.

Very cool conversion. I personally feel like the normal Tomb Blades look like the silliest derp-mobiles. This has a more dynamic, aggressive feel to it.

Are you going to have any indication of thrusters at the rear? Or more of an anti-grav look?

Looks good to me.

I like the GW tomb blades as well, but this is just as nice.

Thanks for the comments. @clamclaw, I'm going for a mixed antigrav/propulsion system along the lines of the annihilation barge that I used as the base for the conversion. My thought is a floating chassis shot around with thrust from rear engine, so the propulsion system from the annihilation barge has largely been kept intact. It's a little more obvious from the rear.

In the rear shot, I can see how the spine connects to the main chassis. I think your integration plan is working well.

Those actually look a lot better than the GW ones. While that isn't very hard, to managed to capture the design philosophy the Necron army has, i.e. use the same design in different ways. Great job. Costly, though

@ColonelFazackerley
Yeah I was quite pleased with how well it fit. I'm going to green stuff something to couple the spine a little better, but it's close to done.

@SigvatrMade
Actually, thanks to the good bits merchants on eBay, it's only going to cost me about $10 a model, plus the arms and head bits I had lying around, so it's actually a few dollars cheaper than retail.

Wow, you made out good on cost then. I was thinking those wings would be a pretty penny, but eBay to the rescue.
