Whilst looking for info for another thread. I notice that the rules for psychic focus seem to forbid daemons from knowing the summoning primaris power.
They automatically know their own primaris power. Psychic focus states if you learn any power from any other discipline, you lose psychic focus.
It sounds ridiculous that the faction malefic is designed for cannot take its primaris. But i cant seem to resolve the conflict

"If you wait a few months, they'll pick one of the worst codexes and they'll nerf almost everything, its an abstract sort of balance, but it's the sort of balance gw likes... "

Correct, but you can still trade any spell for the primaris regardless of what you roll out.

EX: I want the Change primaris and the Malefic primaris. I do my random roll for each discipline and trade what ever i roll to the primaris of each discipline. Not rule breaking at all. What I CANT do is keep the spell i rolled AND get the primaris, if I rolled for more than 1 discipline.

Thats how i read it. But until now I've always used both. Having not put 2 & 2 together, the chaos rule was considered after, and on top of, all the powers (including the primaris) you had already rolled
