So my gaming group is getting ready to play Mordheim, and since I've had some State Troopers laying about, I decided to play some Mercenaries. My favourite province has always been Nuln with all their guns and stuff, but after working a bit about with the rules and looking at tactics, it seems like a focus on Handguns and Hochlands isn't the best choice.

What would you do, if I'd like to play with many black powder weapons? What would substitue for Nuln better? I'm thinking Averland or Marienburg, but is there other choices that might fit better?

This may just be the thing your looking for. Plenty of double barreled pistols in the list.

Wow, this goes a long way to make black powder more useful, but I'm sorta dissappointed that there's no regular troopers - Mostly because of the four guys with melee weapons I already have, mind! But I'll present this to the group and see if they'll accept it c:

You can still use melee troops, Sons of the Gun (hideous name....) are well suited as arrow sponges.
