So this is my first attempt at a nurgle color scheme. I'm trying a dull, grittier model to contrast with a bright warp base (color matched for each chaos god). Any feedback, even just voting is appreciated.

I like this a lot. Simplistic, but very effective. How did you do the flesh?

Look sgood so far. You should definitely get some bright yellows/greens/oranges on the boils of there skin in my opinion.. makes them look less "basic"

Agreed very well done. If i've said it once i've said it 1000 times, give me cleanly done, gross Nurgle over messy Nurgle any flippin' day of the week!

I like it. Like the same tone of color in the base.

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

they seem fine to me, if i were to look to improve i would do a little drybrus on the base to make it pop, or contrast in a grey

White testors air basecoat, 2nd coat of GW zandri dust, two brush blend some GW straken green. Very light GW underhive ash for highlight.

@jonny5 : yeah i have a really dark grey dry brush on the base, i was worried about overdoing it. It could go a bit more.

I second hitting the base with a lighter shade to make it stand out a touch more. Nothing extreme, but a good dusting of a lighter color grey would help. I also like the thought of making the boils brighter by using a blend of the green highlight (GW Underhive Ash) and white to make them look like proper boils instead of just lumps or knobby flesh.

The overall paint job is fantastic in it's cleanness (funny to say that about a Nurgle mini) but it's sharp, looks good, and isn't overly busy. Keep up the great work, as a unit of these painted up to that standard would be awesome to see on a tabletop for sure!

Hope that helps. Take it easy for now.

You don't know me son, so I'll explain this to you once: If I ever kill you, you'll be awake, you'll be facing me, and you'll be armed.

Second try. Picture focus was a little difficult, but i think it came out sufficently, if not well. I think highlighting pustules worked well.

I'd say play with a purple shadow. Might be good for the gut/pits.
