Playing a game last night. Getting ready for Origins in Columbus. Team play and each person brings a 1000 points. One Warlord per team. The other team is playing Necrons and their first Cad\Detachment was the Star God Detachment and their secondary was the Decurion Detachment. Deciever was the warlord, does this still make the warriors and immortals in the second CAD Obj Secured?

Never argue with an idiot you just lower yourself to their level.

'Objective Secured' is a Command Benefit of the detachment, its not a benefit given out to all models in the army by the Warlord.

'It is a source of constant consternation that my opponents
cannot correlate their innate inferiority with their inevitable
defeat. It would seem that stupidity is as eternal as war.'

Expanding on what Ghaz said, the only detachments that give Objective Secured to units are:
- Combined Arms Detachments (troops)
- Allied Detachments (troops)
- Imperial Knights Househole Detachment (everything)
- Blood Angels Battle Company Formation (troops)
- Blood Angels "Angels Fury Spearhead Force" formation (troops)
- Blood Angels Dante's Avenging Host Formation (non-vehicles)
- Tyranid Skyblight Swarm Formation (gargs)

Units from any other detachment in the game do not gain objective secured.

Whats a Star God detachment?

Anyway, CAD is a type of detachment, not another word for detachment. Calling a Decurion detachment a CAD is like calling a Corvette a Ford and can lead to some confusion as troops in a CAD get ObSec but nothing in a Decurion will ever get ObSec.
