Hello everyone,

since Codex: Eldar Harlequins has been out for some time now I was hoping for some feedback from gamers who have fielded the formation "The Heroes' Path": results, tactica, performance etc.

(or from gamers who have played against it).

Preferably when it has been fielded as part of a larger Eldar or mixed army but any feedback would be appreciated. I really like the (well I like all 3 models) but am really interested in the shadowseer's Phantasmy psychic disipline.

Thanks,
HJI

It is my preferred way to put Harlequins into Freakshow lists. You get both the good Freakshow characters in one formation, plus a nigh-unstoppable killing machine.

I prefer to put them in a Dark Eldar heavy force, and give each of them their own Venom. That way they can Deep Strike, and move around the board with greater speed.

Welcome to the Freakshow!

(Leadership-shenanigans for Eldar of all types.)

I've used this formation with quite success in our narrative campaign, to the point of beating ~1500.
The solitare with his infiltration and small size could infiltrate behind a building/Impassable and get an assault turn two with his amazing movement. I had deployed him behind impassable/Los blocking terrain block and turn 2 used blitz to jump over(treats everything as open ground) the impassable and got the assault off.
The shadowseer outflanks with mask of secrets and psychic shrieks stuff, in combination with the death jester -2 ld it was fun to let things run off the board.
in short, the stealth+shroud is invaluable and with infiltrate its an easy way to add my fav single model (solitare)

I run it in every game I play above 500 points. Phantasmancy is wasted on the path shadowseer however. The primaris only affects the caster and his unit, and he can't join or be joined by anyone else. Run him with telepathy and the mask of secrets to watch troop units fall by the handful!
The solitaire with infiltrate, stealth, and shrouded is one of the best area denial units in the game. Hide him, and make the enemy stay clear of an 18" area of the table for most of the game. I field mine with Cegorach's rose, letting him reroll the single hit and wound for the kiss of death attack makes it SO much more capable

The death jester is an all star in my book. I try to run at least 3 in every army above 500 points, even if I am unbound. The more leadership tests you force your opponent to make, the better the odds they fail them. The first time you tell someone they have to make 5 leadership tests with their fire warriors at a -2, their expression is priceless!
