Hi there dakka

I thought it was fitting to post a blog of my dark eldar now as there will be a rather large visitor added to their ranks this summer, so I thought I would share my army with you. Without any further dithering lets get on with it:

First off, the army



Then the Medusae



I went for the multicoloured brain because it is described as having 'brain fruit' which are different emotions that have been recorded of a sort. To do this I based the head white then simply washed the different bits with different washes. Easy

I also did the Ur-Ghul using a series of purples to make it stick out from the rest of the army



Stay tuned for more as I work slowly on the rest of the army. I have exams on at the moment so I may be a bit slow on the off but hopefully this next pic should help to keep your attention...

Oooh very cool! I'm hoping to get one at one point this summer so subbed for sure!

Thanks @FearPeteySodes I can recommend the tantalus kit, although I had a few difficulties, namely the sail was a miscast and I got charged twice but they sent a replacement sail and have promised to give me my money back Just a few weeks to go until I can crack open the hobby box and get started.

Hi again all

I've managed to find a bit of time between exams to get this sslyth painted. I have just realised that the haemonculi covens supplement is still available, as i thought it was limited run, but anyhow I will be getting that as some of the formations look awesome. Here is the sslyth anyway:




I have plans for getting enough of these to make each colour of the rainbow, so if I pull my finger out and get painting then you may see more...

In other news I had 20 GCSEs to do and I now have 7 left On Wednesday next week I have a morning exams but I will be home asap so that I can get started on the tantalus - sooo excited

After 3 hours of tidying up, I was still nowhere near ready to build:



I did finally get some gluing done but it's such a small amount that it's barely noticeable



See what I mean? Well I've got stuff to do tomorrow so will only get the afternoon to get cracking on straightening those thin bits

How's the casting been on the Tantalus so far? I really considered grabbing one, but it seems like a kit that would be insanely warped and such.

Nice DE btw, always good to see more of them represented in peoples' hobby blogs!

Thanks @Jpogfreak886 I have found the kit a bit dodgy in places, but nothing that a bit of gs couldn't fix. I got a sail at first with offset moulds, but the fw customer service team are great and they sent me a much better new sail

Hi all

So I was busy yesterday and didn't get anything done, but today I got the majority of the tantalus done:



Note that I haven't done and green stuff yet and i have a slight inconvenience in that i am on a DofE Gold expedition for the next 5 days!!! This means I wont be updating at all until Thursday night, so stay tuned for more.
