I just picked up some Dark Vengeance and want to start Chaos. The contents of that are already built for my army. But (aside from the obvious Noise Marines) what other units are often used by the Emperor's Children? For example do they use Tanks or Daemon Engines? Are they an infantry army or do they hide in MEHTAWL BAWKSES?

A sort of question as to how to structure fluffy Emperor's Children.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

They should be really flexible, in so many ways. Just paint it pink, purple and gold and add tentacles. Then you should be good to go. Strange you ask this. You seem to have sound knowledge of fluff from how we have interacted. I mean humility is a virtue, but there are limits to that.

If you have nothing nice to say then say frakking nothing.

I have very good knowledge in some areas. In others I'm completely useless.

Thanks for the advice, though.

Check out IA13 for the Sonic Dreadnoughts, very fluffy for EC and you can probably convert the useless Helbrute from DV into one for reasonably cheap.

Historically - that is, the Horus Heresy version - had them as an army that likes it's dramatic manouvres - so metal bawkses would be good, allowing you to redeploy, or fight mechanised warfare, or close to assault, depending on the opponent across from you.

As an additional bonus, Chaos Rhinos are great little force multipliers - Doom Sirens give you serious advantages for an assault force, whilst a second Combi-bolter and a Havoc Launcher give you razorback levels of firepower without compromising your transport capacity.

He asked a question, jeez. He might have a grasp of some fluff but not know others; I'm pretty good on stuff before the heresy but iffy on lots past there. It's not strange that he asked at all.

OP, as a first founding legion they'd have had access to anything the other legions had, and would've used it, so really you could use anything and it would be fluffy. Lots of sonic weapons wouldn't go amiss, but then not every emperors children is a noise marine. Pretty much anything!

Hoping on what MarsNZ said, Sonic Dreadnoughts are absolutely incredible in my experience and I don't leave him without one. you can upgrade it to fire it's blastmaster twice if it stands still and give it rending. It also comes with a Doom siren making it annoying to overwatch.
