After getting stomped twice by assault squads and captains, I decided that I'd finally make one myself. Anyways, this is a casual TAC list, with the captain modeled as equipped.

Running in the Baal Strike Force for that sweet +1 Initiative.

HQ:

Warlord: Captain w/Valor's Edge, Storm Shield, Melta Bombs, Jump Pack, Artificer Armor - 165pt

Sang. Priest w/ Melta Bombs, Jump Pack - 80pt

Vindicator w/Siege Shield, Overcharged - 140pt

Whirlwind

Captain looks good, if a bit pricey.

Can't go wrong with a Sanguinary Priest.

Flamer squad in pod? Excellent.

Lascannons in Razorback make for a great (and often underestimated) anti-tank unit.

Drop this Plasma in the Sanguinary Guard, get Death Masks.

Melta Assault squad in Pod is great for anti-tank and then acts as an incredibly effective DISTRACTION CARNIFEX after popping a tank if they are out of range of other targets.

Your ten man Assault Squad looks to be too generic, either two flamers or two meltas. Choose either anti-tank or anti-infantry.

Land Raider is good transport because of the assault ramp.

Fast Vindicator makes an excellent tank rushing unit.

I've never used the Whirlwind so I can't help you there, sorry.

Storm Shield on a Captain is bad for several reasons:
- it costs
- it only improves your Inv by one
- you lose an attack. You don't want that to happen, do you now?
