I administer a narrative 40k/BFG campaign in the San Jose, California area. We're a very stable group of players, having previously finished an 18-month campaign together.

Currently we're in the fourth month of our second campaign, which is a slightly more ambitious endeavor. Because I think these sorts of events are more fun on a team, I'm looking to recruit a few players for our currently single-player teams. They are the following factions:

Dark Eldar
Necrons
Tau
Tyranids

Each of these teams currently has a very solid player at the helm, who would be able to assist a new recruit with the basic process. If you play one of those four factions and think you might be interested in joining a narrative campaign with fluff based special rules, territorial control and unit experience advancements, post here or send me a PM and we can talk further. At this point, although I very much would like to be able to transition the single-player teams into multi-player, I'm only looking to add people who are willing to commit to the game.

I will be up front and admit that our process is a little intricate, and can seem a tad intimidating or confusing at first. Overall each turn takes about a month, which includes about 30 minutes of paperwork (spending points and moving units) and then fighting the resulting battles. Players are responsible for scheduling their own battles, when they arise, and most of them have taken place on Thursday nights or Sundays, usually at Game Kastle Santa Clara, though a few at Legends or End Game in Oakland, and at least one at a player's home in Morgan Hill.

For those of you with no experience in BFG, the game can be taught and the ships can be provided. You don't need to buy anything to join our campaign. Just about all my players started with zero BFG experience, and most of them have enjoyed the game enough to go out and buy their own fleets.

Even if you're not interested in joining our campaign, you can follow it on Dakka Dakka http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/650968.page
