Hey guys,

For 40k tournaments, what base do my daemons need to be on. Some of them are on square bases... some on round. Was going to travel for a few ITC events this year, and I did not know what is usually accepted. Anyone have any ideas?

In the name of the Emperor I will smite you with my Fu**, GW took that away too!

Whatever base they came with is what's legal in almost every tournament out there. Since daemons used to belong mainly in Fantasy, and then were ported over to 40k, many older models come with square bases rather than curved ones. However, they should still be legal. Check with the tournament organizer just to be sure!

Daemon models usually come with both sets of bases and IMHO the models came with round bases for a reason. The shape of the base is reflected in the rules for the game, if they are 40k daemons they should be on round bases. Would I stop you from playing with them on square bases, no but I'm not running the tournament.

If they're REALLY old models, they didn't come with round bases.
