Ever since I saw the new bloodthirster model, I fell badly in love with it. I finally found the money to get it, as my local gamestore had a 19% off on everything sale, So I painted him up during the next couple of days. So here is my first Bloodthirster, all painted up, only basing left now (I'll probably be using him as a demon prince a lot, So thats why I have him on the 50x50 base. I'll put his base on top of the 60x100 when using him as a Bloodthirster):

Very cool. Finish the base! Ugg!

I would do something else on the wings too to bring out the design that is in the back of them.

Looks good, I really like the tones of the armor plates.
Like Icelord said, making the wings/khorne symbol pop out. Would make it look even better!

Thanks, both of you

I have thought about the symbols on the wings, but I haven't thought of something that I felt would fit. I don't want the glowing or burning look one of the GW versions of it has. Maybe I could have them a dark red, but what were you thinking about in that regard?

I could see dark red. Or even just a more defined gray.

@Icelord:
Hmm, I dont want them grey, I think it is kind of "realistic/authentic" to have them just be subtle, but I'll consider doing them in a dark red, that doesn't stand too much out..

@Skullthroneattendant:
I think I get your point, but I'm not sure if I'll do it, as it doesn't really bother me, but thanks a lot for bringning this to my attention

Haha, Thanks a lot

Looks good overall. I personally like that you didn't put too much of a contrasting colour to the designs on the wings as it's easily overdone. The one thing that stands out (or doesn't actually) to me is the face. With that big shiny breastplate the face gets a little lost. I think a bit more highlighting would really bring attention to what should generally be the focal point of a model.

I hadn't thought about that, but I can see it now that you mention it.. But I'll admit that I'm probably not gonna do it, as I don't have a brighter red than the one I already highlighted it with, and I don't think I think it is a big enough problem for me, to go and buy a new paint just for that.
But I'm glad you like him, and like the subtle look of the design, I think I am going to keep i that way in the end, and declare him done for now, and give him the purity seal spray layer now
