Hey there,

I've never played any Apocalypse game. In fact, when we play, it's usually between 1000 and 1500 pts games.

It seems like the Warzone Apocalypse is full of nice formations, like the Ork Stormer Elite (3+ units of Stormboyz that gets Fearless, Feel No Pain and Cockskrew Dive). I don't have the Apocalypse rulebook, so I was wondering, can I use this formation as it is in friendly 1000 pts games (or even in tournaments) or is there some sort of Apocalypse general special rules that I'm not aware of, that you must follow when taking one of the Warzone Apocalypse formations?

Thanks

As it is an Apocalypse formation it is, logically, Apocalypse only.

Lol no they shouldn't be used in a normal point game. Imagine the Rok strike ability in a 1500 pt game....I already think the SHV and GMCs are bit too much with their massive pie plates. It's one thing to lose a whole battery of artillery in the blink of an eye but at least in an apoc game you probably have more but in a normal game this isn't so. But at least the big models are killable. Apoc special rules and powers on the other hand will totally destroy small scale skirmishes.

GW's thing is forge the narrative. If you want to use it in a friendly game and your friend is Ok with that then go for it. More power to ya.

Ill be using a phantom Titan tomorrow against 2500 points of chaos space marines. I am pretty sure the Phantom isn't classified as a LoW for normal games and I am not going to have any other units besides him so it going to be unbound too but he wants to play against it and e both agreed on it so GAME ON!

Sounds like a pretty cool friend to be the one to volunteer placing 2500 points of csm and then just remove most of them as fodder that did nothing almost immediately afterwards. Then again he might win so it's worth a shot. I'd probably give it a go with Orks who literally die trying ta loot da fing.

Actually I'll take back my previous post up above, because I admit forging narrative games are great with two people willing. In the situation above if the Orks keep getting mowed down and tabled too fast I'd even ask to try the Waaaaagh! Ghazzy mission rule that allow Ork troops to keep respawning back on the map as ongoing reserved when killed just to see how much that Titan can wipe out before finally dropping.
