was thinking about doing a coastal invasion with my Eldar vs Dark Angels holding the defences this Saturday, except I just don't have any Imperial bunkers/trenches/gun emplacements. Would make for a fun change of pace scenario. Place objectives near the first line of defence and some further back. Have defenders have reserves. Attackers come in 2 waves.

I wonder if I could scratch build some stuff over the next day or so to work as bunkers.

Whats the question here brother?
Grab some old shoe boxes, containers, steel wool from a hardware store and some twigs from the garden (for wooden barricades) and go nuts.

Recreating the Battle of Dunkirk would make for a far better game tbh; having Imperial Guard fighting a superior army (something cheesy like Eldar, Necrons or Ad Mech) and waiting for the heroic Brits (probably Space Marines) to save them all!

except June 6th isn't the anniversary of Dunkirk

I'm going to see what I can put together

But yeah, I'd imagine that Imperial bunkers could be even easier. Just got to find the right shaped packaging and go to town with some grey spraypaint.

I took the template out of an old white dwarf and gave it a skin in photoshop and instead of 2 bunkers with a walkway between, it's set up with 4 bunkers in a square with the back side open
