I'm currently planning to build a Guardian Storm Host plus an Avatar and two Aspect Shrines (swooping hawks, fire dragons and warp spiders in one, howling banshees, shining spears and striking scorpions in the other). I've seen very little discussion on the Stormhost, so I thought I'd ask your opinion. In a Stormhost, for 72 points, you get 8 Guardians with 2 melta or flamers and 2 power swords, who always run 6" and buff nearby units. And with the Avatar, they get Fearless, Rage and Furious Charge. And you get three of this unit. That seems pretty damn nice to me! What are your thoughts on the Stormhost?

I've only played it once, and beat Necrons pretty handily with it

I only had one aspect shrine (2xbanshees, 1xscorpions), and added Jain Zar and a Wraithknight. And the Avatar is definitely required to make it work.

I think its a great setup, go with 2 meltas and two power swords and give them serpents.
