Is that a detatchment from daemonkin?

Its a KhorneKin formation from the Blood Oath book.

Looks sound. I'm toying with the pack... Thinking 4/5 maulerfiends to keep up with the scorpion. Can fit 1/2 helldrakes at 1850 as well.

Works out to exactly 1850 points with maulerfiernds and two heldrakes. . Alternatively:

Greater Brass Scorpion 700
4x Maulerfiends 540
2x Soulgrinders 270
2x Helldrake: Baleflamer 340

I like the Blood slaughters because 6 attacks on the charge at int 4 WS 5 is really good. Yes they can be baited but if I use clever deployment I can use it to my advantage

I'd be tempted to make sure you've got a couple of heldrakes with Hades Autocannons; you shouldn't have trouble stomping infantry into the dirt, but at 1750-1850 points you want something which can fend off a gunship.

Given how weak the Brass Scorpion's armour is, I'd want at least a couple of maulerfiends to hold in close behind it and stop it being shot in the arse too much.

Well soul grinders have AA as well and a heldrake can target FMCs with a baleflamer. BS3 autocannons are not impressive. I would still take heldrakes as you say but with baleflamers.

If I play it right I should be able to avoid giving fliers good shots and if they hover to get rear armor even better. The crimson hunter might be a problem but my soul grinders should be able to handle them.

I dont know about the bloodslaughters, I like the Hell forge hunting pack but my version of it is more siilar to what the other guys are showing but with a bit more shooting.

2x Helbrute / Misille launcher and Multi melta
2x Maulerfiend

Helbrutes are pretty cheap at 110pts each with 2 big shots, considering the list is all vehicules the opponent wont concentrate on them.
They can help to pop the enemy transport for the phlegm bombardment and scorpion Demolisher cannon to hit infantry.

You can't take Hellbrutes in the formation

No hellbrutes allowed :-( A mayhem pack would be a nice addition, but would push you over 2kpts.

oops, no helbrutes eh, damn!!! I missed that, its true that they arent deamons, shouldve noticed that.

I did think about doing that lol a big part of my list is restricted by models lol I was able to score 5 blood slaughterers for $125 lol
