Anyone have tips for running pure slaanesh daemons? Do the chariots work? Seekers good? I love the aesthetic, seems tough to make them work though

It's been a little while, but here's my general advice

Soul grinders aren't bad, lots of seekers are good. Regular daemonettes can be good. Telepathy is a good lore.
Flying daemon princes with a lash are good. Double cad opens up lots of choices that way.

I have had fun with keeper of secrets but they're not uber competitive .

The chariots get ripped by anything ( I don't think I've ever got one into combat) the fiend's role is performed by so many other options, but you could take them I guess. I've had the most success with DPs and soul grinders and seeker blobs.

Interesting, I've run tzeentch princes and currently running nurgle. I want to avoid prince spam but a couple with seekers could be fun

Chariots are excellent if they can survive long enough to get into combat proper.

Daemonettes aren't terrible but don't expect too much from them.

Seekers are hilariously awesome, take a whole bunch.

Slaaneshi Daemon Princes aren't the best, but still good. Slaanesh's psychic discipline has some great - and not so great - powers, just hope you roll well.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Why are seekers so good? Just lots of attacks going first? They seem so squishy on paper I have a hard time seeing them threaten

They're good because they're fast. 12" in the movement phase + 6+D6" w/ fleet in the shooting phase or 2D6" w/ fleet when charging. Plus they're quite points-inexpensive so you can take loads of them.

Seekers are phenomenal and hilariously effective at shutting down Knights.

Just put 5 Seekers around an enemy Knight and dont even attack him. You literally have enough space to box him in and he cannot more while you remain within 2" coherency all the way around him.

If he charges you, he'll kill them but wastes a full turn in doing so. They're also excellent objective runners, and if anyone decides to charge a squad of 15 Seekers, they're in for a world of hurt, lemme tell ya...

Daemonettes are decent troops as well since they're pretty darn fast, but because for a rather silly low cost increase you get Cavalry upgraded Seekers, you might want to consider taking Pink Horrors just for WC batteries.

Slaaneshi Princes are Amazing. Let me say that again, AMAZING. If you decide to gun for Iron Arm, your opponent is in for a world of Hurt. And during your Psychic Phase you can have FMCs that can shoot 2D6 str 7-9 Lash's along with what ever you manage to get off in the Psychic Phase. Smite? Life Leech? They're all AP2 and relatively useful!

Life: An incomprehensible, endless circle of involuntary self-destruction.

I tried a chariot out for the first time the other day and it met all expectations I.e. was crap. It did make it into combat but after the HoW attacks it just seemed like it was spent. You're then essentially left with an alluress or herald on their own who can therefore die too easily. Perhaps the key is to charge only units you have a good chance of taking out in one round but this severely limits their usefulness especially given the difficulty in keeping them intact to make combat in the first place. If anyone has any chariot specific tips I'd love to hear them as I'd kind of like to make them work if I can.

Otherwise, good Slaanesh choices are daemonette or seeker blobs, take a herald with the locus for re-rolls in combat and they can be brutal given their initiative. Heralds can also get access to Invisibility for survivability.

Soulgrinders are good in any flavour imo. Slaanesh ones can move fast.

As mentioned Slaanesh DP's can be great depending on your overall list. I do like Keeper of Secrets too if you play them carefully and get them into combat they are pretty tasty. If you're playing Slaanesh FMC you'll be taking one anyway.
