'Ave a look 'ere ya fellow gitz, I's be lookin' to put a skwad of Warbikers togefer for me Warbosses' retinoo to act as da spearheard for da boyz!
*clears throat* I'm not looking for the most efficient points cost, just think it would be fun! The only thing is I don't want to commit to creating custom models if my list turns out to be rule breaking:
2x Warbikers and Boss Nob
Power clawBoss pole
Painboy
Warbike
Big Mek
WarbikeKustom Force FieldKillsaw
Warboss
Power clawWarboss Gazbag's Blitzbike
Is this loadout legal?
At the moment my 600pt list contains 2x Boyz squads (with Rokkit and Power claw), 5 Kommandos (with burna and Boss Snikrot), 5 Lootas (with Mek) and 5 Stormboyz (with Nob).

Taking the minimum amount of Lootas and Stormboyz doesn't strike me as something I would do. Stormboyz are fragile and only shine in numbers that can accept losses. Lootas is the Orks best and most cost efficient ranged support, take advantage of that and field a mob that can take out squads and light vehicles in a single turn.

I would think about dropping that Big Mek for more regular Warbikers. You can already Jink for a 4+ cover save on the unit (3+ if you Turbo-boosted instead of shooting) and the KFF doesn't work in Close Combat anyway. You could take like another 7 Warbikers for the cost of that Big Mek. Another 21 attacks is far more of a boost to that unit than 3 AP2 attacks from a Killsaw imo.

You're right of course, I have found that only having 5 Stormboyz does mean I have to be very careful with them, leapfrogging them from cover to cover until they're guaranteed to get into combat, Lootas would also be much more effective in greater numbers too. I just like the idea of having a quirky warbiker HQ squad, seems quite Orky to me (but cooler heads may prevail)... Looks like I might go the dakka route

That's a good point, I could have 11 Warbikers in total (including the Nob, Warboss and Painboy) and I suppose I'll have the additional FNP rolls anyway. Essentially I'd be trading -1 BS for +1 to my save using jink instead of a KFF, and I guess the nob and Warboss PKs would be enough to take care of anything just as well as a Killsaw could?

Yeh if you want to remain at 600 points; Either drop the lootas for more stormboyz, or drop the stormboyz for more lootas. I feel like having 1 or the other will greatly help you out. As at a squad size of 5, with a LD of 7, you'll be taking a LD check after 2 wounds and will likely be running. Not to mention that having a boss Nob with PK on the stormboyz is an additional 40 points. given the Mob rule, if you lose 2 stormboyz you roll say a 2-3 (the best result), you take some hits, likely another wound. So having a larger squad will help you out. As for your bikes; I agree, drop the KFF Mek, hes already 120ish points, which gives you either; 1) A unit of 6 bikes; putting out 18 shots (counting the relic bike as a standard bike for the moment), with a 4+/5++(against shooting -KFF)/5+++, with a 4+/3+ Jink. 2) Or you could take a unit of 11+ bikes; putting out 33 shots, with a 4+/5+++ with a 4+/3+ Jink. You've almost doubled your shooting output by dropping the KFF, and Ork bikes are good at shooting, use combat to clear units up, not as your main aim. The only time you will use the 5+ KFF save is if; he's shooting with ignores cover (so you can't jink) with something that's AP4 (so ignoring your armour). That situation isn't worth the cost of the KFF imo (for such a small unit), plus even if he was, having 7 bikes to take wounds is probably a better bet anyway, as you still have the 5+ FNP.

Favourite Game: When your Warboss on bike wrecks 3 vehicles simply by HoW - especially when his bike is a custom monowheel.

I actually think you should keep the mek with the kff, my drop the killsaw off of him. And would you consider swooping your warboss on a bike for Zhadsnark? This would make your warbikers troops and give you the ability to scout a unit. Zhadsnark has an I4 power klaw for smashing.
Outside of that, your unit loads are legal, but I think you might need a 3rd troop choice to have 3 hqs.

That does make more sense, thanks! As I'm intending to use the Warbiker squad to take me to 1000pts, I think I'll take some more Lootas and Stormboyz too to give them the numbers they need.

I think you're right, if I'm using a standard detachment, I can only have 2 HQs maximum as I don't have points for 3 squads of boyz for an Ork Horde. In which case I think I'll drop the Big Mek, add more Warbikers, Lootas and Stormboyz to get me to 1000pts. I really like Zhadsnark but I feel he's expensive for small games but I might get him if I take my Orks to 1850pts
Now the question is what conversions can I make for my Warboss and Painboy... Thinking that using a looted SM Bike might be in order, maybe even a looted jetbike to represent Warboss Gazbag's Blitzbike?

As for conversions; here is a couple shots of some of mine in early painting stages (without riders)
One was an elder jetbike with some extra boosters/rokkits on the back, another is a deffcopta which I put 3 aircraft propellers on, to give it a hovering feel. The one at the back is a standard nob biker.
Wazzdakka; So a mash of lots of bits and kits
Painboy; which I don't have photos of, but I basically created a snake like dude. So hes got a nobs body and then a big mechanical tail. I'll dig a photo up for you later if you'd like to see. Most are fully painted now, I just suck at getting photos up

If you want a small retinue, how about Rokkit DeffKoptas? Better shooting, extra wound, you use the Boss's I4 for Hit and Run.
