Howdy!

My regular opponent has recently taken to fielding an unbound CSM/Daemon list with either most of, if not all of his army deepstriking in. It contains a Daemon Prince (with wings) of Khorne with Axe of Blind Fury, a Bloodthirster, Obliterators, Terminators and Raptors.

Anyone got any good tips on dealing with that lot? It is mainly the Daemon Prince and Bloodthirster flying around and assaulting me that is causing problems. The armies I use are Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Crimson Fists, Astra Militarum, Space Wolves and Grey Knights. I've not used my Grey Knights yet as I thought I could try and defeat that army with one of my others first.

You know the flying MCs must land the turn before they assault right? you should always get a decent shot at them

Yeah, they need 1 turn on the ground before they can assault, and if the DP has the axe of Blind Fury then it means he has no shooting attacks and isn't a sorcerer so the only thing he can do is vector strike 1 model per turn. The BT is pretty much the same but with the whip attack, in any case I'd just ignore them and once they land shoot them to death, T5/6 W4 Sv3/5++ isn't really that hard to take down

The last game we had I was embarrassingly lucky with my armour / invuln saves on those boys...

Walkers.

Look at the strength on all his big scary MCs, its like 6, 7 at best. AV12 is a tough nut to crack when you are S6 or 7. Keep dreadnoughts near your high priority targets.

Dreadknights are also pretty awesome at killing daemons. Activate sanctuary and force, then give them a love tap.

Str 6 for the Daemon Prince, +2 for the Axe Of Blind Fury, +1 for Furious Charge. 5 attacks, +1 for charge, +d6 for Axe Of Blind Fury.

He can take a Dreadnought.

Not fought his Dreadknight yet but obviously killing big daemons is what they're for, so I'm planning on giving it a wide berth...

He brought his Grey Knights. I just had a brutal, pants-down spanking. Slayed my warlord on turn one (damn those Gatling psilencer things on the Dreadknights are savage) and it all went downhill from there...
