This is an attempt to bring the Shadow Spectres, and their Phoenix Lord in line with the new codex. Due to codex changes, the end result is something more in line with the original incarnation, mixed with the 6th edition update.

Ghostlight: If a Shadow Spectres unit contains more than one model, the unit can link its prism weapons instead of firing normally. Nominate one model in the unit as the firer; the other models cannot fire this turn. The firer shoots with its prism weapon as normal, adding 1 to the strength (to a maximum of 10) and subtracting 1 from the AP (to a minimum of 1) for every two models that have prism weapons.

Shadow of Death (Exarch only): All enemy units within 12" of a Shadow Spectres squad that includes a model with this special rule, roll an extra D6 when making Leadership tests and Morale checks, using the two highest rolls to resolve the test. Models with the Fearless special rule are immune to this effect.

Spectre Holo-field: If a model with a Spectre Holo-field moves in it's Movement phase, it gains a 5+ invulnerable save until the start of its next turn. If it also makes a Thrust move in the Assault phase, this save increases to a 4+.

• An Autarch (or Autarch Skyrunner) fielded in a detachment which includes at least one unit of Shadow Spectres may choose to take the following instead of one of his regular weapons options (as listed in Codex Eldar: Craftworlds p.108):

Dawn of Twilight: An army which includes Irillyth may re-roll any attempt to bring the Night Fighting rules into play at the beginning or end of a mission that uses the Night Fighting rules, and during any game in which the Night Fighting rules are in effect from Turn 1, Irillyth and any friendly Shadow Spectres units gain the Scout special rule during deployment. In addition, during any turn in which the Night Fighting rules are in effect, Irillyth and any friendly units of Shadow Spectres gain the Preferred Enemy (Everything) special rule.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.
