Hello guys/gals i am pretty new to 40k, about 3-4 months, and i am playing DA, but at my locals i am getting rekt by nids and necrons. is there an easy way to kill those hive tyrants and carnifex? and with necrons those warrior squads seem to stick around forever, and the wraiths are nearly impossible to kill.
ive recently picked up a mortis mark v to help kill flyers, but it still dosent seem like enough. is there a good answer to those pesky units?
thanks in advance!!

I have played against a DA player a bit. Mostly I have won. But he has managed to deadlock my units while taking objectives before. This particular player was pretty low on anti air. Not sure how you could take down the flyrants with consistency.
Haven't had a chance to play necrons, but from what I hear it's just dedicated focus fire. You need to lay into them. Over and over.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Well, hopefully the rumours of a new Codex will help you out a bit.
Against any army, you want to kill the support and mobile aspects first, that makes it easier to deal with. For Nids, it's FMC's and Synapse units. For Necrons, Nightscythes, Wraiths Jetbikes for mobility and the focal point of the formations from a Decurion (Triarch Stalker, Overlord, Spyder, etc).
Always remember to play to the mission in every game. You might lose almost all your army, but if you hold the Relic, you'll win.

As stated above.
Against Crons take out their support first. Warriors themselves aint all that terrifying. In CC you will murder them.
Against Nids i am trying to find a decent strategy myself

The redeemer landraider is good against nids as you can clear loads of infantry off the table, and your twin linked assault cannon will take wounds off the bigger models as you get close enough to use the flamers. If you don't mind allies, gk purgation squads with psilencers are great against multi wound targets up to t7 as they have force, 4 of them will give you 24 shots as well.

Vs. Necrons I have a few suggestions (I am a Necron player, so I know what I have had trouble with):
Close combat. Close fast and get into close combat with powerfists. Those fists will eat us away and force us to flee, which will end with us dead via Sweeping advance.
Kill the Ghost Arks. Kill the Ghost Arks. Saying that twice was not a mistake, killing those will hamper our staying power by removing the warrior resurrection ability.
Tarpit the wraiths. They are hard to kill but have little damage output vs point cost. Get them in with a large unit/units and keep them there for a bit.
Vs Canoptek Harvest. If he is using the formation that gives wraiths reanimation, kill the spyder and he will lose it. Blast him with powerful ranged weapons.
Hope this helps!

well as a Nid player, i can say, don't focus on the gaunts and gants, but also don't focus on the MC's those are there to distract you the whole army is basically two different distractions at a time, i normall run 2 dakka flyrants , 40 hormagaunts in broods of 20 not poisoned as they can fill up more points and snag me points, 15 fleshborer termagants just a great cheap filler can hold objectives, got a hive crone for tanks/flyers, 3 dakkafexes and a acid spray t-fex
so i can hit objectives and lay down annoying fire, honestly, the best thing to do to nids, melta, and large blasts, invest in those, you need to be able to make a strat against nids on the fly since they have numbers and they have MC, try to make a list that is good against numbers and against big things. t6 is sometimes hard to go against without having to sink points into something like a combi melta. instant death is also good to have if you can i wreck the DA guy because he doesn't have a great list i also wreck the BA guy because he tries to use his tanks as more than just a thing to get his combatants to the battle, all in all, try to just get large blasts templates, melta weapons for the big guys, you'll be riping bugs apart in no time
necrons on the other hand, no clue they just keep standing up,

Against nids an auto include is the deredeo, he's too useful. With hes auto cannons he can bring down tyrants virtually whenever he pleases, and it's very likely he can take down a pair of them from his shooting alone, and his missle launcher only adds to the madness he can cause.
Against necrons it's about ccing him where appropriate, and shooting where appropriate. Again a deredeo is smart here because he has lots of dakka and can make significant dents in unit. But focusing down units is critical to ending them. If a unit is wiped out he gets no reanimations, and if he's too far away he can't hurt you. The exception really is the wraiths who we have no answe for, I'd probably deal with those by way of rad grenades, dark talons, and using our tools of weakening to well wear them down. The wraiths are good but when their blind and reduced toughness their a lot less reliable, and having a deredeo means that you can shield the dark talon from getting iced by enemy planes.
The major problem is that you also need to be quick, necrons will win a war of attrition every time, they will squeeze the life out of you. So dividing him up and carving holes in his lineups are essential and doing your best to stay out of his 24" kill zones.
Banner of devestation is a joke against necrons, don't even bother. Tbh fortitude will probably be the best of the three, but going without banner would be even better because none of them would really be of benefit. Command squads just won't be practical, but we will see what the new codex holds, for all we know devestation goes to 18" and makes all weapons salvo 2/4. We really don't know anything that's in store.

I agree that nids is basically a big army of distractions. All my cheap little guys will run over and eat up anything they get the jump on. You just cannot let them run rampant. But they are easy to kill especially with pie plates and templates. Another friend has SW. His logan has been devoured by a single group of 15 Hormagaunts every time we play because I manage to get them up front and out maneuver him to charge first. 45 attacks on the charge and it's just weight of numbers. Logan gets ate. But the MCs can bring the pain if you let them. Honestly my shinning star has been a living artillery node. The biovores just bombard the gak out of any units taking up a position or bikers that keep running around the board. The exocrine eats through terminators. My buddy does bring a land raider, and that 14 all sides armor is a huge threat. If it wasn't for Egrubs and my zoanthropes I would have no way to deal with it. That being said, I have never been unable to deal with it.

i forgot about biovores! amazing units once a zoanthrope or warrior bodyguard brood is there hidden with them, and free sporemines, if you miss who can argue granted if you full scatter and thed3 spores drop far away from a unit no free boom unit, i've never been that unlucky, overwatch normally just doesn't kill them always makeit
