I have a new Badger Krome Renegade. I've used it once prior to today and it performed fine. Today, it seemed like there was a lot of back pressure that came back up through the paint cup. Enough to blow the cap off. There is air coming out of the nozzle, but a fair amount though the paint cup as well. I've taken the needle out, no build up. Taken off the front nozzle and checked the hole ... looks fine. What am I doing wrong? When I use the Badger 105 using the same PSI settings, no problems.

Check the tip to see if there is a crack in it. That is normally the problem if you are getting paint bubbling up in the cup.

Sounds like it is dirty, can you soak it in isopropyl or something?

Generally, whenever I have had a brush do something that can be explained as being dirty, and it looks perfectly clean, and I have cleaned it out a dozen times - it is still dirty, I just haven't found it yet.

THANKYOU!!! I am teaching myself, and have diagnosed and solved many of these problems myself, but the trouble shooting guide is perfect!
