Do you dream of impossible lists? Ok, ok enough Don Quixote. Hear it is the double mean, double green:
Greentide
105 Warboss w/ Powerclaw, Da Big Bosspole(FEARLESS)
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
775 for Greentide 1
Greentide
90 Warboss w/ Powerclaw, Bosspole
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
795 for Greentide 2
CAD
160 Grotsnik
50 Painboy
35 (11) Grotz
35 (11) Grotz
Plan 1: Get Infiltrate Warlord Trait: Infiltrate Greentides 1 and 2 and Grotsnick.
Leave a trail for the painboy to join asap. Grotz mind backfield objectives.
Plan 2: Deploy Greentide 2 with Grotznik and Reserve tide 1 (with Fearless Warlord). Grotz mine backfield objectives for midgame points.
Greentide 1 overcomes (temporary) survivors.
This list is only possible because a buddy tried my army, and liked it so much he traded his to start an Ork army of his own, and then changed his mind. He gave them to me for painting his buildings and will be painting a titan and flyer for him.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Obvious and anticipated questions:
Q. How will you deal with flyers?
A. Cover the board and leave them nowhere to put their bases; or more likely ignore them and destroy any and all ground based and scoring units.
Q. How will you deal with psykers?
A. Suffer lots of causualties till I can get them in close combat, murder them, and crap on their corpses.
Q. How will you deal with MSU armies?
A. Multicharge and bring them down by weight of bodies and/or Powerclaws
Q. Titans?
A. POWA CLAWS! Hope they don't stomp them all out!

Looks like a great list, basically as good as it gets for a green tide. Maybe TFCs will give you some trouble but you can probably push through the firepower, especially if you infiltrate. Is there any way to get a Finkin' Cap in your list cuz that could help you out a lot.

I don't think you need Grotsnik mate. He's three times the price of a standard painboy for less than 3x the value.
KFF and relic KFF can increase durability of a tide by a heck of a lot. I'd also highly recommend the cap as you'll almost always get either infiltrate or night fight, if not those move through cover things that can also be of help.

Grotsnik is Fearless, which is the other reason he is in this list.
Automatically Appended Next Post: Can you imagine 75 orks running away like gitz? Not cool, man...
Automatically Appended Next Post: I feel that 204 Fearless boyz with Feel no Pain is more effective than maybe saving a few with cover saves, which I may or may not get anyway.
But please discuss! I may have missed something yet! Automatically Appended Next Post: My great fear is that half way through the game the table groans and then splits in twain midgame...kidding. Fatigue during a tournament will be a major, MAJOR factor. Automatically Appended Next Post: Zavvy: Da Thinking Kap would indeed. I like it tremendously in my single tide list.
Unfortunately the tournament I am going to only allows 3 detachments and the Ork Horde list only gives you the reroll on Warlord traits selected from the Ork Traits. Automatically Appended Next Post: My single tide list:
100 Warboss w/ Powerclaw, Da Thinking Kap, Bosspole
50 Painboy
185 (25) Boyz, Nob, Powerclaw
185 (25) Boyz, Nob, Powerclaw
90 Warboss w/ Powerclaw, Bosspole
185 (25) Boyz, Nob, Powerclaw
185 (25) Boyz, Nob, Powerclaw
Greentide
105 Warboss w/ Powerclaw, Da Big Bosspole(FEARLESS)
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
95 (10) Boyz w/ Nob w. Powerclaw
70 (10) Boyz w/ Nob
70 (10) Boyz w/ Nob
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
60 (10) Boyz
869 for Greentide
Automatically Appended Next Post: Infiltrate is really, really nice, but Waaaghing every turn is better in the long run I think...maybe. Still up for discussion

Agreed, Grotsnik is one of the few ways - aside from the one-per-army Da Big Bosspole - of making a unit fearless, which is definitely worthwhile in a mob like this. That's one weakness of orks - they're not overly supplied with special-rule-granting bolt-on characters. It'd be superb if you could attach Snikrot to a green tide (stealth and move through cover!) but sadly no joy.
My one concern is that you may not have enough power klaws - it's not unreasonable that you may find yourself without a klaw-wielding nob near the fight that needs his attention. Note: Throne of Skulls switched to 1875, so it might be worth having a third powerklaw nob for Green Tide 1 available.
I'd stick with running rather than infiltrate. Infiltrating a Green Tide basically just means one 6" move, because unless you are Mork incarnate there's no way in hell you will manage to deploy a green tide entirely out of line of sight of the enemy on a regular basis.
I'd look forward to facing an army like this. I'm trying to get an Execution Cadre army painted up. That'd be one hell of a game to see - over two hundred orks versus thirteen assassins....
You've got no shortage of warm bodies to keep people busy till then, though.

Actually, the vindiceres tend to do okay - but you don't hold them at the back sniping. Remember their pistols are just as capable as their rifles - the key to facing hordes (in as far as you can) with an execution cadre is having all the assassins charge at once; a Vindicere assassin still a pistol and blade has a better statline in an assault than pretty much any other character in the game - three of them piling in goes a long way to helping kill as many of the twenty or thirty models who can actually fight as possible.....
I'm still not saying they'd be particularly likely to win, but you use them much more aggressively in a pure assassin force; they're pistoleers, not snipers, and if they can take out one or two of the power klaw nobz and/or the painboy on the way in, they've done their job.

Reserve? It's not going to be easy getting 100+ models on the board with just a 6" move. They'll be bunched up, and probably too far away to do anything.
Something mentioned earlier, a Tide won't run away if it isn't fearless. It has +2 to mob rolls, so will only ever run once it's down to less than 10 models. Fearless is mainly there for Fear checks, not much else.
I feel the list lacks punch, there aren't many Klaws in the list. You'll never get all the Klaws into a single combat (some combats you won't have any in range). The points limit is just two small to make 2 Tides effective, you'd be better off going for a larger single Tide (they can go to up to 300+ models after all).

The problem is that a single green tide can only claim one objective per turn as it's still only (technically) one unit.

True, but it can stop the enemy from claiming more than one.

Fatigue during a tournament will be a major, MAJOR factor.
In all seriousness, consider getting hold of some war of the ring movement trays (or make some up yourself). I have a load for my termagants in my tervigon army. The time saved is incalculable.

Just take 6 troops slots worth of boyz, and ally with orks for 2 squads of grots. Put more toys on the boyz, maybe give a few of em shootaz, big shootaz, etc. Da boyz need sumfin ta do when dey runnin at dem humiez. Add another warboss, or a big mek with a shokk attackk gun or something. Stormboyz might fit well, or some lootaz. Still get lots of bodies but a bit of versatility as well. Tankbistaz with tankhammers would be hilarious. Commandos might be a nice way to get some flamers on top of some cowardly humiez. Get a wierdboy for hilarious teleporting squads of 30 boyz.
