Hey all,
I'm a new player and looking to play armies that are entertaining to play, versatile, quick, and capable to at least win a decent amount of the games I play (Which is with other friends in basements). So I decided upon the Chaos Daemons and more specifically the MC's they have. I have been thinking about a couple of lists but not being experienced leaves me in a bad spot to judge how adept they are, and I would prefer to not have to buy more than I need just to find out a unit is trash. So here are a couple of lists I have thought up.

List 1
HQ:
Bloodthirster of Insensate Rage - 325
The Great Unclean One - 240

Elites:
Bloodcrushers of Khorne - 135

Troops:
2x Bloodletters of Khorne - 100
Plaguebearers of Nurgle - 90

Heavy:
2x Daemon Prince of Nurgle - 255

Total: 1500
I feel like this list could be fun and have tremendous strengths but would be subject to massive weaknesses (no psychers).

List 2
HQ:
Be'lakor - 350
Lord of Change - 270

Troops:
2x Pink Horrors of Tzeentch - 144
Plaguebearers of Nurgle - 135

Elites:
2x Daemon Princes of Tzeentch - 280

Total: 1603
This one feels like it has a good amount of power to stand on its own and is focused on psych phase summons. But that strategy feels a little cheap/not very much fun and I'm not really trying to be "that guy", not to mention its over by 103 points.

List 3:
HQ:
Bloodthirster of Unfettered Fury - 300
Keeper of Secrets - 270

Troops:
Daemonettes of Slaanesh - 149
Pink Horrors of Tzeentch - 180
2x Plaguebearers of Nurgle - 140

Heavy:
Daemon Prince of Slaanesh - 315

Total: 1503
This list could be a lot of fun and feels to have a good amount of balance. Don't know how the whole HQ thing would work when they're supposed to hate each other but I could have a good time playing this one.

Any thoughts, comments, and suggestions you can give me on the list and a new player in general about the game would be tremendously appreciated. As well as what gifts to give to the MC's, really looking to see what the most appropriate gifts are for individual MC's. Again, thank you for any help.

HQ:
Lord of Change lvl 3greater gift, lesser gift (for staff, +2 str FTW)- 285
Great Unclean One - lvl 3, Exalted gift (grimoire), Greater gift (sword if needed) - 290

Troops:
11 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch (icon, champ) - 114
11 Pink Horrors of Tzeentch - 99

Heavy:
Daemon Prince of Nurgle lvl 3, Wings, Armor, greater gift (insta-death sword)-315

Allies
HQ: Belakor - 350

Troops:
Nurglings - 45

16 warp charge, nurgle prince is WAY more survivable than Tzeentch DP. Keep Belakor near the LoC to cast Shrouding for a 2+ rerollable Jink and cast invisibility on the GUO.

Thanks for the reply on the post, the list you wrote up looks like a lot of fun. Being psycher heavy should i focus on summoning with the pink horrors?

Summon when you have the dice. Bit defense is the most important. Powers like invisibility. Precognition, shrouded, iron arm, and endurance can go a long way in keeping you big guys alive. The exception is Sacrifice. Try to cast that every turn to add Lvl 2 Tzeentch heralds using the nurglings for the wounds.

Every prince should always have wings, power armour and 2 greater rewards. If you are against grav spam or its common in your meta then you could go without the armour on a nurgle prince.

Ive had a lot of success with skipping the 2nd greater gift. I only get the one on the Nurgle Prince for the Sword, which I will skip if my opponent doesnt have targets for Insta-death. I find Bio-Mancy + Shrouded gives them more than enough survivability.
