This is my take of a slightly out of the box competitive all comers list designed with some fluff and fun in mind!
Pros: small unit count, very elite.
Cons: Small unit count, struggles with objective control.
With that lot in mind how this works is centered around the psychic phase as far as shooting is concerned. Making use of the linking
from the Librarius conclave to be casting warp charges on a 2+ I'll be using psychic shriek and smite as my ranged damage threat.
The grav cannons are somewhat of a distraction given everyone with a good save seems to fear them.
The main ploy of this is to simply make Moloc, his unit of terminators joined by 5 terminator librarians with storm shields into a deathstar.
Sanctuary will give them a 2+ normal and 2+ invulnerable save. Hammer hand will make them
str 7
ap 3 (rerolling 1's to hit and wound vs marines)
force weapons. Enfeeble to cripple my opponents and endurance combined with sanctuary to give a 2+ normal save 2+ invuln 4+ feel no pain.
I know spells are random but with that many rolls for spells it will be unlikely that I don't get it.
Another trick to the list beyond that of the psychic phase is the assassin and the shooting phase.
The Librarians and such use their spells to buff up during the psychic phase. Then opt to run / charge into combat in the assault phase with the secondary
objective being to get within 12 inches of the assassin. Then for every mastery level the assassin's 18inch
str 5
ap 1 weapon gains an extra shot.
Being within range of the conclave makes this 9 shots hitting on 2's likely killing on 2's/3's AP1. And then any left over warp charges unused from the psychic phase
can be added in for even more shots giving him alone the potential to delete 10 man squads with one round of shooting whether its marine armor or not.
imo, better then
grav cannons for general purpose and hard as hell to remove from the tabletop!
The deredeo has skyfire and rerolls failed penetration rolls and drops ap3 templates (with independent fire) to kill even more troops meanwhile the spartan assault tank
will likely come under heavy fire due to how dangerous and hard to remove it can be. With 2+ invuln on my terminators (11 big squad inc moloc) charging out of the spartan
theres very little in terms of weaponry I fear. Only mass, mass fire. Grav guns might wound on 2's
ap 2 but I would still be granted a 2+ save and then perhaps a 4+
fnp.
Though like I said and know, as to remain fluffy with minotaurs and have all of this fun stuff the list falls down in regards to capturing objectives and depending on the board
size can just be completely shut down by being too far from where they need to be!
Any suggestions, questions and critique will be well received xD. My other list is a bike heavy more 100% competitive list so I'm aware of the shortcomings of this list.
