Saturday morning in the US, and the GW online store hasn't updated yet, but the UK online store has updated with all the new Dark Angels stuff. The Reclusiam Edition (fancy book, data cards, tokens) is already sold out. I wonder if that means that it will be sold out on the US Online Store as well?

Usually they have a certain amount allocated to each region. (US/CA, UK, EU, AU/NZ, etc)
Or so a manager at my local GW told me.

Anyone know what time it will be on in the Canadian site? I guess that will be the same time for US/Mexico as well.

Sometimes they go up earlier(usually it would be 10-15 minutes tops), so it wouldn't hurt to start refreshing the Preorders page around 12:35pm EDT.

Just how I wanted to spend my Saturday morning! Spamming F5 eagerly waiting for it.
At least I have coffee and Saturday morning cartoons... but man, Saturday morning cartoons suck now! OMG! What happened?!?! I guess in a world with Netflix and DVR, and a cartoon channel that shows cartoons 24/7... Saturday morning cartoons are a thing of the past. :(
At least I have my coffee, the Ambrosia of the Gawds.

Honestly, it depends on the book in question as to how fast it would sell out for the LE.
The Mechanicus books lasted a bit(Skitarii was a week before sold out, Cult Mechanicus was four days) and some of the "Chapter Specific" ones for Space Marines weren't sold out last I looked.

Thank you guys. I kept on refreshing now. This almost makes me want to quit 40K. I mean really, GW doesn't want me to buy their product? If I can't get what I want, then why bother buying other stuff? And why 900 copies? Is there only 900 customers for Dark Angels world wide? I guess this is the artificial hype the GW wants us to believe that 40K products really sought after? I guess I fell for it by refreshing all the time. Well if I get it, I get it. If not, oh well, I guess I can spend my $200 on Privateer Press or some other company this weekend. I mean this in not like I am trying to get concert tickets, I shouldn't have to wait by a computer to buy something for plastic miniatures.

It really makes you wonder why GW limits it to so few copies. If there is a demand, you make more to meet that demand to sell more, right? I understand it's a tricky balance. Some armies are way more popular than others, and it should be a no brainer to make more of those LE Codexes then, say Ravenguard and White Scars.
To tell the truth, I'm not sure why I really want this LE Codex when I've given up on Dark Angels. Maybe some kind of misplaced loyalty to my first Space Marine chapter harkening back to the mid '90's. I know I won't be all butt hurt if I don't get it. LOL

Because when they make to many people then complain it's not limited enough. Many companies make limited edition items that have far fewer avalable than buyers. Geeks are suckers for a limited edition. Even when all you are getting is a diffrent cover and a few bits of cheap metal. If they made more less people would want it.

I know what you mean. For me, I love Dark Angels. So I would like the book. But each time I am hitting refresh, I want the limited edition less and less. I can buy quite a bit of Privateer Press minis for this price. Now I am thinking do I really need that Cypher book? I would like a paper version of it. I already have the iPad version but would like a print format as well. Basically the only reason why I want this. Not so sure now if I want to pay $200 for it.
All this refreshing. Blah.

Part of it is that it contains components that are made elsewhere, outside of their own vertical integration. The objective markers, the slipcases, the books themselves, etc all have to be produced and those costs likely play a large factor as to why they do these "smaller" runs for LE.

From the way the book is shaping up, this might be the book to bring a lot of people back.
Also for those who were planning on getting this, be aware that it does include the previously digital exclusive Cypher dataslate.

The way things are shaping up? Eh, adding a bunch of formations won't "fix" all the issues Dark Angels have. To tell the truth though, I'm not even really sure what all the issues are anymore.

Well, it's up, and I got my order in. May the Emperor protect my soul and forgive me.
May it be the Codex we deserve, and not the codex we need. Or, actually, strike that. May it be the codex we need, want, and deserve. Yes, I want my cake too.

Still up in the USA too. Guess there are more DA players in Europe then North America. LOL Could be the Europeans like the idea of PA guys running around in robes and "interrogating" everyone, eh? Bad joke, I know. Couldn't resist.
I pre-ordered it without actually looking at the contents. I'm kinda impressed- I get the codex with a variant cover, slip cover for it, looks like a couple monochrome lithographs, psychic cards, objective deck, six metal (!) objective tokens, and a 38 page Cypher book with it's own slip case, and it looks like a case for the entire thing. Makes the price kinda worth it to me. Figure $58 for codex, $12.50 for the cards, $20 for the data slate, another $15 for the psychic cards... little over $100 without all the variant stuff and slip covers, so, yeah, I think the $165 is actually a good price. Well done, GW! Well done. I thought the days of saying such stuff were over. Automatically Appended Next Post: Well, a little under 2 hours in USA and it sold out. I hope everyone that wanted one got it!
