Next week I've got my first event / league / tournament thing, we're not exactly sure of the exact format yet as it depends on numbers.

Anyhow, I figured I should try to brave the mysteries of writing a Skirmish force list. The thing is, while I'm a wargamer, the whole deck building card drawing aspect and logic is a complete mystery for me.

In any case, the first list I made up, seemed pretty simple. - What do you all think?

* All the Free Command Cards
* Bodyguard
* Adrenaline

Chewbacca
Gaarkhan (Painted)
Gideon Argus
Jyn Odan (Painted)
Standard Rebel Troopers

I've got some painting to do, so is this something I should go for, are there ways to improve it? I have all the Wave 1 releases except IG-88 and the Rebel Saboteurs.

-------------------------------------------------
So, apparently, I've had one of the fundamental concepts of the game wrong already.

Command Card Costs is completely separate to Deployment Card cost...

So that opens up a HUGE amount of options for me. Such as going for:

Chewbacca
Gaarkhan (Painted)
Gideon Argus
Jyn Odan (Painted)
Standard Rebel Troopers
Mak'Eshey

Working with those 15 points for command cards I have:

One in a Million (Jyn)
Furious Charge (Gaarkhan)
Adrenaline (Wookiees)
Bodyguard (My wookiees)
Roar (wookiees)
Debts Repaid (Wookiees)
Slippery Target (Smuggler or Spy)
Marksman
Focus
Expose Weakness
Rally
Element of Surprise
Take Initiative
To the Limit
Urgency

If you are trying to be ultracompetitive. Rebel Saboteurs are unfortunately quite good. I've been on the receiving end of them too many times. You might want to replace Jyn with them. then you can take maximum firepower :-)

Overall I'm not too impressed with Chewbacca, I've played against him 3 times, same tactic... kill everything else and ignore him.. he is very very hard to kill.

To the limit, I've tried it a few times.. unless you have a model with assault or multiple attacks... I don't like it so much.
