Hi all

I posted a couple of weeks ago with my current army list asking if it was ok and for some advice, basically my friends and I have recently caught the bug and gone from never really playing 40k to each having between 1250-2000 points.

My current list is

2x flyrant with twin linked devs, electro grubs
30x hormagaunts
1x tyrannofex with acid spray, grubs and regen
1x dakkafex
1x tyrannocyte
8x genestealers with spawn of cryptus

Living artillery node with
3x warriors
3x biovores
1x exocrine

I'm currently having some problems against my necron friend who feels the need to abuse decurion detachment with 1x ghost arc, overlord with res orb, 2x ctans with the broken gaze, 2x doom scythe 1x annihilation barge, a boat load of warriors and immortals aswell as those 3 nightblades or whatever the biker dudes are.

I really have no idea what to do against this with my current set up, i think it's impossible due to the volume of blast weaponry I have making it impossible for me to deal with his big stuff.

I have another 500 or so points to play with but im not sure where to go from here. I feel as though I need some more synapse aswell as vehicle pen but zoans feel very weak given their short range. More genestealers with venomthropes seems like an option to force more pinning checks with the -3 from my flyrants but i honestly feel completely countered. Maybe throw some poison on my gaunts? I really am stumped!

If any of you could give me some advice to try and play against tfg it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have the experience against Necrons to help here. I look forward to other comments so I can learn a thing or two myself.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Well some basic ideas, then I'll give it a think and get back...

A couple of venothropes, or malanthrooes would be a big boost, and a Zoanthrooe adds SyNapse and psychic power!

Adding more Dakkafexen, and or Mawlocs is almost always a good plan.

The will of the hive is always the same: HUNGER
