Question on Daemons rules - in order to get the Grimoire, someone has to spend 30 points on an Exalted Reward, then at game time they need to roll a '1' on that D6 exalted reward? Folks write lists as though the Grimoire is a given and I'm trying to understand if there is some other non-random way to get one? You could have 5 models in a 1850 point army list that all have Exalted Rewards and never get that '1' roll?

Hellforged Artifacts aren't on a 1 they are on 0 as in you just pick them as a subistitute for what you rolled for.

Technically, you are supposed to roll on the table and then swap whatever reward you get for the 0 result on the relevant table (exalted=hellforged artifact)

People just tend to skip actually rolling because they already know they are going to swap for the grimoire. Imo this is stupid because if you do roll a 1 on the exalted chart, you get a free lesser reward and get to roll again on exalted. So you could end up with grimoire and a free lesser reward

It's like a "primaris reward" for lack of a better term
