Covenant of Menoth
Man-sized:
[This model is treated as a model with a small base and occupies the space from the bottom of its base to a height of 1.75"]
How to you measure Range and LOS to and from the model? To the edge of the Large base, or to the edge of an imaginary small base somewhere in its area?
The rule resulted in a: "nuh-uh, my imaginary small base is two mm further this way, so you can't see me. HA" situation.
Is there official clarification on this somewhere?

Measure to the base. Its a small model for LOS blocking.

It matters for LOS, Tramples, special rules that specifically target small bases, etc ...
The actual base is still used for measuring

Thanks for the replies! Is there a published source that confirms this, or a rule I missed? Or is this a conventional wisdom call?

The covenant is a small based model on a 50 mm base. It follows all the rules for a small based model, so it can only block Line of Sight to other small based models that are behind it and it has the volume height of a small based model. The only difference between the Covenant and other small based models is that it is base is 50 mm instead of 30 mm.

Thanks for the reference.
The "Infernal for Hire" title indicates a source of Infernal Rulings?

The purple name tag indicates an Infernal, the tittle is just an attempt at humour.
