Subject: Ork Warbike Conversion prototype - Should it be a warbuggy?

Hey guys,
So a topic in the tactics forum came up the other week about using max blobs of bikes, typically the issue would be that for a full bike squad your looking at £100+. So in an attempt to try and come up with a cheap solution I had the idea to create these mini little cars (as I could buy about 30 for £5).
However, now that I have gotten to this stage, it is starting to feel a little big, especially width wise, it would require to be at an angle to fit onto the bike base.
So with that regards; what are your thoughts in general?Would it suit a buggy better? How big is a buggy?

So im starting to think that if I added a dozer blade to the front and replaced the weapon with a dude and a gun mount then they would actually perform as buggies much better than bikes. Currently just a little short for my liking, but width wise it feels pretty good. So plenty of ork bitz incoming!
Anyone know of a good way to make gunners? generally the ork legs are positioned in such a forward squat, converting them into gunners seems like such a PITA!

The buggies are a great example of the scale changes over the years. The old models are basically the right size for grotz now so I like the idea of actually making them into grot racers! An ork buggy of the right scale is probably closer to Rhino size, like the Elysian Tauros. I'm looking forward to seeing how these come out.

How has this gotten zero replies? Whatever you use them as, these look great.

Yeh the old school buggies are tiny I get what you mean about buggies being rhino sized if you were to scale appropriately, but imagine a squadron of 5?! gawd, I could literally block half the board with a couple squadrons Thanks Im going to go with two skorcha versions tonight. hungryp wrote:How has this gotten zero replies? Thank you very much Glad you guys like em, I wanted to make sure they seemed to be the right size, as I don't own any buggies, but I did google the dimensions. Anyone got any ideas for mounting the weapons? They are supposed to be turret style, but I am thinking about simply mounting them forward facing, as if the grots just roll around firing ahead of em. I can always use the point its mounted as where I shoot from, so I don't think it looking like a turret is highly important?

Looks cool. The Mad Max / Death Race roof mounts look fine. If anyone pisses and moans about lack of a turret, just laugh at them?
