I'm interested in the Tech-Priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus who specialize in the creation and/or implantation and or integration of Augmetics and Bionics. It seems odd they are never mentioned. They must exist as every Tech-Priest is significantly if not predominantly mechanical and there are more Servitors and Skitarii than you can shake a mechadendrite at. Presumably, these Tech-Priests are part of the Adeptus Biologicus division, I would think, but what is their proper title? It seems odd that we have Enginseers, Lexmechanics, Datasmiths, Genetors, Rune-Priests, et al. but no mention of what is an integral part of the AdMech organization. Anybody have an idea or a source?

Not trying to be ungrateful, but I am honestly not certain if that is an attempt to troll or not. Either way, that doesn't answer my question. It is too generic.

Magos Biologis can apply to any Tech-Priest skilled at doing Biological work/study. That can apply to anybody from a Genetor (Genetics experts) to a Xenobiologist (studies aliens). I already know the generic term. I want the specific one.

That's like saying, "She's part of the Adepta Sororitas." It doesn't really tell you much about the Sister in question. Is she a Battle Sister? A Hospitaller? A Dialogis? A Famulous?

"She's a Battle Sister of the Orders Militant." Okay, well what Order does she belong to? "The Order of the Valorous Heart."

Adepta Sororitas = Adeptus Mechanicus
............|..................................|
Orders Militant = Adeptus Biologis
............|..................................|
Valorous Heart = (Augmetic/Bionic Specialists)

There is no lore giving us the name of such a specialist.

Well if you want spessific sources I suggest looking at lexicanum, and to some degree various Forgeworld books and the likes.

Based on how they name other departments, and based on how they refer to things in-universe, it is probably "Magos Augmetica" or "Magos Cybernetica", but I have no fluff references to give you to support that, as they don't exist. It is simply inferred from other naming conventions in use by the AdMech.

ETA: Actually, it is more likely that it is "Magos Biologis Augmetica/Cybernetica", since these would be sub-specializations of the Magos Biologis.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Thanks guys. That's what I feared. I have searched every source I have access to including the Forgeworld books. I was hoping one of you guys had more insight than me.

Psienesis, I had the same idea actually. I have been using Tech-Priest Augmetica since Cybernetica seems like it'd be related to the Legio Cybernetica.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I just found a chart in the Cult Mechanicus codex that lists:
GENETORS
--Magos Biologis
--Arch-chymist
--Grand Parasite
--Metasurgeon
--Corpus Illuminator
--Genetor Extremis

Unfortunately there are no discriptions at all. Just thought I would add it to the discussion. In this context they seem to use Genetor as a general descriptor whereas Genetor Extremis ostensibly means what Genetor is normally used to denote in other sources.
