I was wondering about which primarchs buddies up with with each other, and who they didn't like so much, along with their corresponding Legions. I already know SW and 1k Sons are big rivals, same as IF and Iron Warriors. I also know that The Dark Angels and SW are rivals but don't actually hate each others guts or anything. I believe their are matrixes out there for this kind of stuff, but for the love of Russ I can't find them. Here's to hoping for quick and helpful comments (not that Dakka's failed me yet)

Nobody liked Curze. Half the primarchs outright hated him. The only one he thought was his friend (Fulgrim) betrayed his confidence to the single biggest douchebag among the primarchs (Dorn).



... on the other hand, he was also the only Primarch that died happy, and eudaimonia is hard to come by.

How on earth was Dorn a bigger D-bag than Mortarion?

May I ask for examples of them being D-bags? I'm not too good with primarch lore (which is a big part of why I made this thread). As far as I can tell Mortarion was grim as feth, and I know about diddly squat about Dorn

Check how the Dusk Raiders got turned into the Death Guard.

Alpharius was bro-fisting Horus for quite a while, but Horus definitely didn't trust him; appreciate might be the best word to describe Horus' views on Alpharius.

Curze didn't like them - "hiding their true sins in a shroud of lies."
Dorn didn't particularly like them - "honourless assassins, not fit to bear the Emperor's mark."
Guilliman absolutely despised them (it was mutual).
The Thousand Sons avoided the Alpha Legion, but no incident was ever recorded.

However, they campaigned quite well with the Dark Angels and the Iron Hands.

Assuming it's ok, I'll take a snap of the Age of Darkness Legion Allies chart and post it up. I'd like notification that it's ok first though.

Not everything in it makes a ton of sense though/has justification. For instance, the only BB the Dark Angels have are the Salamanders, but I literally can't find a single incident involving them.

I'm OK with that, at worst you could PM me about it if for some reason it's not thread friendly.

Also, was there anyone the Death Guard had as friends, particularly any loyalist Legion?

As far as I recall, the Death Guard had few actual friends among the other Legions. I would assume that they'd have no problems hooking it with the Iron Hands (since they both focus a lot on resilience) and the Iron Warriors, for largely the same reason. Mortarion propably saw a likeminded individual in Perturabo, since they both felt grossly kept behind the curtains, and loathed to be kept out of knowing the secrets of the fledling Imperium. All this is conjecture, though.

Friends among the Primarchs, tho... Mortarion was a stealthy loner generally, who loved using illegal weaponry and scare people, so... Curze, maybe?

Would someone care to make a list of the Primarchs that didn't like Horus?

I wonder who was the 1k Sons captain seconded to the Alpha Legion.
