Hello folks,

Im new to the forum but have been lurking about via Google for a while now. I am working on some Iron hands and really want to try and make Techmarine/Ironfather dreadnought (possibly played as a siege or ironclad). I am sure i have seen some articles on here about 'Tech-naughts' but cannot seem to find them now. Has anyone built one? or seen any? Really just after ideas at the moment...

Any help grately appreciated.

Thanks,

Thrundin.

I love some of the conversions as far as general look and weapons, but if I was building one, I'd also want some small auxiliary arms mounted e.g. at the base of the sarcophagus, for when the techmarine needs to do some delicate manipulation. Something like those little arms on the Skitarii Ironstrider.

Again some very nice work here.

Dreadclaw69 that is very cool. Is it your work? Where did you get the servo arm?

inmygravenimage, please tell me you finished that, is that a conversion beamer? would love to see that painted.

Thought i'd share this too! In my wanderings around the internets, i have found several cool builds but this http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307453-venerable-mordan-diades-class-dreadnought/
which i found today is just awsome.

Looking at all of these I dont know if i'm inspired or scared. Dont know if i should just give up and abandon the idea as im really not sure my skills are up to making anything as complicated as i would like. We can but try!

Thanks for reading,

Thrundin

It is indeed a conversion beamer!

It did get painted, but I don't seem to have any pics

However, I found some wips of the build.
Spoiler:

Base model was a sw dread.

Its claw was the basis for a servo arm claw

Then just start adding bits

C beamer was plastic pipe, brass rod and guitar wire.

Hope that's helpful - just go for it !
