Ancient Space Wolves Venerable Dreadnought

I... actually don't know. Help?

Just saw an awesome P&M, where a guy had used Fantasy Dwarves bitz to spice up Space Wolves to look like vikings. So, a few questions: What Dwarf kit would give the best bitz that would fit on to normal Marines? I'm talking heads, shoulder pads, knee pads, etc.

I would imagine a box of Dwarf Warriors would do it. But that's just a guess. Any way to contact the guy with the army and ask? That would definitely be your best bet.

Do what you love and love what you do. Like sell firewood.

Dwarf Warriors (variety of axes, hammers) / Longbears (axes but they are more ornate) there are also the Ironbreakers but they are more similar to the warriors (unless you are looking for shields) .... your best bet would be to try ebay bit sellers.

The Dwarf Warriors box has quite a lot of axes you can use, I bought a box for the exact purpose of which you speak, probably better to look at ebay though.

The newer boxes look like they have more ornate axes and whatnot, but I haven't tried them.

You might also consider the Chaos Marauders kit. I think their heads look a bit more at home on a Space Marine's shoulders.

I agree with the chaos marauders heads .... I use a full set of them with my space wolves and they fit in really well

the Marauder Horsemen have awesome Space Wolf heads!!!

I think that the Longbeards box is probably the best bit source for the Wolves...
plus, you can take your extra SW arms, and make some nice Squats with the box...

cheers

edit: i meant the Hammerers/Longbeards box
