Hi all, today I have a weird question to ask.

Do you think you could fit a fantasy bow on a Space Marine? I'm planning on building a Spartan-esque army, and to make it look just that bit different I was thinking about putting bows on a squad of devastators, say.

Does anyone think this is plausable? Any feedback would be awesome!

Thanks

It should be fairly easy to do. The hard part would be to find a pair of arms that lined up well. You might be able to use your basic bolter gun arm to pull back the arrow. The outstretched arm to hold the bow might be a little more tricky to find. Some CC weapon arms, pointing hands, etc might work for that. The easiest thing to get the bow holding hand might be to take a hafted weapon and cut off the top and bottom. Use the part left in the hand as the bow’s grip, and put the bendy parts on either side.

I would use tactical marine arms, turn their left hand 90degrees to be gripping the bow itself, then use the trigger hand with a slight edit to be gripping the bows string, between the two it should end up in a rough archery pose

Saw this marine by M3ntor on the B&C years ago and always thought he looked pretty cool. Might help with your project.
