hello.

after observing a few wh40k matches at our LGS, i decided i give the game a try.
after reading mostly fluff and some general tactical reviews, i decided to go with skitarii.
with the help of the local group, i wanted to order 1 unit of 10 rangers and 1 unit of 5 infiltrators + a culexus and a vindicare assassin, directly from GW, since our LGS can get it at a small discount.
they just told me yesterday, that the assassins are webstore exclusive, so they can't order it.
so far i'm only getting the skitariis.

then i looked up ebay and found this auction: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281733606966?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
it would be even better, since some of the models are in a more better pose (especially the vindicare), at least for me.
i don't know the history of the models that much, so i wanted to ask, that are these some older models?
also since they do not come in the packaging, can anyone tell me if these can be recasts? (at least looking at the reputation, i think they are real ones)

sorry if posting in the worng forum

Those are the "classic" models from 2nd or 3rd edition era. They're "white metal" (fancy industry term for pewter) and have limited posability. Personally, I would recommend getting your hands on that new assassins limited run board game GW put out recently. In my opinion those are very high quality models.

As far as recasts go, that's really not something I know an awful lot about, but I would think it'd be rather difficult for someone to recast in pewter.
