Hi guys,

I recently created a magnetically levitating Eldar jetbike conversion. It uses battery powered electromagnets and permanent magnets to fly. I hope you like it

That's pretty cool! I wonder if you could do other skimmers like this as well?

Thanks, I thought that the Eldar grav technology looked more like this than the existing bikes

Wow! I've never seen this before with a mini, and you chose an amazing one to do it with.

Very nice, you've painted it extremely well too!

I've seen it done once before but just for displaying a model that was on foot anyway (so the whole display platfrom slowly rotated in mid air). Never seen it done for an actual skimmer on such a nice scenic base though.

Pretty awesome sir!

What rating electromagnets are you using? I recently purchased a few to create a piece of scenery in which I can make the wall explode (by turning on the magnet and forcing the wall parts to push away), but would be cool to get an idea of the power on yours to get a levitation going

Great stuff! Any chance of a tutorial on how to set it up? Would love to do this with some of my Tau, but wouldn't have a clue where to start.

That just looks amazing. Do you think it would be possible to take a land speeder or flyer and somehow insert the magents inside such that the speeder/flyer would be turned sideways?
Like it's in the middle of a sharp turn or evading something. possibly even an actually modelled rocket with exhaust trail

Shred City.

Superb work, just amazing!

Some questions for you relating to the technical aspects of this:

How hot does it get?

What sort of power does it require and how long does it last?

Can you explain the construction of it? Obviously I don't expect exact information - not that I could reproduce it anyway with my poverty cerebral performance - but just a basic explanation of how the magnet works?

Just curious.

Thanks, friend!

Excellent work.

I'm all ears on how it was done, but I expect coils and lots of N52s.

Seconded. I'd personally love to see a Dark Eldar Raider or maybe Sammael's Jetbike this way.
