What is Dakka's opinion on Steam controllers? Are you interested? Do you think they will be worth it?

In all honesty, I looked at it and went "meh".
I am not a fan of controllers in general though so I may be an oddity: keyboard and mouse is preferred.

I'd sooner buy a Xbox style USB controller than the steam one. I really don't like track pads, and the analog sticks are my preferred method of playing platformers

Interested in how precise it will be. Will get one just to see how it works out. Right now, not very enthusiastic as I cannot imagine it being more precise than the currently best pad there is, the Xbox 360 controller.

I already have a few different controllers and nothing strikes me as a great about the steam one. I only have handful of titles on PC I play with a controller anyway. The touchpad aspect really, really puts me off. Though my view may be tainted by certain earlier products
