Surely there is more desposible income in the
UK and US than in France. Also in the
UK GW is so ubiquitous that it is somewhat accepted as semi-mainstream in France if you're above age 14 and play with minis you're looked at as a child and stigmatised.
Where is there one in Kensington High Street? There is one in Chiswick, not far away. Do you mean that one?
There is one on Tottenham Court Road, and another in Covent Garden as you said.
There is one in Putney.
There was a one man store in Angel - has that closed?
There are quite a few further out from the centre.
Maybe it is because Central London is less family-residential? Not even sure if it is true, but there seem to be a lot more in the suburbs where you'll find families.
