Idea of the thread: I Provide 2 characters that are melee beatsticks or something along the lines in the starting post. The person replying calculates who wins the duel, and by how many wounds, and reports it in their post, and also posts a new challenger for the winner of the previous duel. The next person then does the same, and so on. The combatants should be powerful melee oriented beatsticks to make things interesting, but you can always name a Grot if you feel like it, it's just that the outcome won't surprise anyone.
You can use a combat calculator from the internets or do the calculations yourself, if you're proficient.
Rules:
-Unparticipating random posts will be frowned upon by everyone in existence. It's the internet so I believe they are unavoidable and some will surely do them either because they didn't read this paragraph or just because they have some other unexplainable need to do so even when it's unwished for, but if you want to be awesome, don't do it so the thread stays clean. If you reply mainly to comment on something, do calculate the outcome of the most recent duel posted and provide a challenger for the winner.
-There are no charges/overwatching, the combatants start the fight in melee.
-Provide the number of the round when posting a duel, so we can easily keep count
The beginning:
Round #1: Captain Lysander vs. Ghazkull Thraka

Lysander wins, no need to even do the maths. He has a 3++, which Ghazghkull simply can't beat. Once his Waaagh! bonus goes down, he is toast, and there is no way he can break Lysander in just two rounds.
Round #2: Lysander vs. Lorgar Transfigured (taking precognition and misfortune)

Round #2: Lysander vs. Lorgar Transfigured (taking precognition and misfortune)
Did you mean Prescience? Because Lorgar's weapon is already ap2
Lets see:
Both are WS6 so hitting on 4s.
Lorgar strikes first. 4 attacks hitting on 4s rerolling misses... means 3 hits. S8 ap2 wounds on 2s ignoring FNP causing 0.83 unsaved wounds due to a 3+ invul save. (3 * 5/6 * 2/3)
Lysander is going to be more complicated as Lorgar can make him reroll 5s and 6s to hit. 4 attacks initially only 0.67 hits make it through ( only 4s hitting ) with an additonal 0.67 hits making it through after rerolls making it 1.34 hits(1/6 *4= 0.67) + (1/3*4*1/2=0.67) =1.34.
S10 ap2 ignores armor wounding on 2s, but Lorgar still has a rerollable 4+ invulnerable save so 0.279 unsaved wounds. ( 1.34* 5/6 * ¼) EDIT: somewhere in here there would be a reroll to hit from mastercrafted hammer that I didn't calculate)
Then Lorgar gets IWND with a chance to regain a wound if he lost one (1/3 chance). Lorgar also has 5Ws to Lysander’s 4(edit: Don't quote me on this part) as well as causing more wounds to Lysander than per fight phase. Clear winner is Lorgar.
