I'm looking for a fantasy game with strong fluff, solid rules, acceptable availibility, a company that gives a damn and good looking models. I'd also prefer if the game, the fluff and the minis blend well together, none completely overshadowing the other. But it should still be a game that can be played competitively without having to alter the rules. Both games have good looking minis so that's a check. So really I am just looking for impressions and opinions from people who have played these games.

Is there any interest for either of the games in your area?

Have shared with your friends the 2 games you might be interest in?

Nothing worse than getting into a game no one else is interested in.

You can download the full rulebook for Wrath of Kings, which includes a novella of background fluff: http://wrathofkings.com/ks/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/WoK-Kickstarter-Rules.pdf and check it out for yourself. There's also an eBook version of the novella at wrathofkings.com . I really like the rules, but the factions and fluff are a little bit of a mishmash (probably related to bringing over designs very much inspired by Confrontation and trying to build a world around the designs.)

Can't comment on Godslayer.

Never played Godslayer, but I am really enjoying Wrath of Kings right now. The minis are pretty nice and have a great look. The concept art for them is done by one of the former Confrontation artist and his stuff is great.

The fluff could be better, but as ecurtz said it might be due to them shoehorning some existing concept art into make factions.

The rules are simple on the surface but the interaction between friendly/enemy models makes it a bit more complex.

If you want to read one of our local gamers thoughts on it, check out the link below.
