I have long thought about additional rules to Daemon weapons: The current Daemon Weapon rule lets a weapon do +1d6 A, but every hit of 1 hits the user, but I feel that only fits a very generalised idea of a Daemon weapon - More power, but might rebel. So, I thought that, if your group is okay with it, it could be awesome to try out another system for creating your own Daemon Weapons!

So, when creating a Daemon Weapon, you pick a regular weapon from the list the Character can take from - Combi-bolters, Power Swords, you name it. The cost of that weapon is the base cost. Then you may add on additional abilities for the weapon, which has an additional cost. I don't know if there should be any negative effects of picking more than one Daemon effect on a weapon, but I guess it could be cool.

So, for example:

Render of Reality
The Daemon held in the weapon cares not for the limitations of the Materium, and contact with the weapon will destabilize any matter - Even the air surrounding the weapon feel empty and hollow. Wielders of this Weapon most be strong of will to keep the Daemon from breaking free of its material form, harming or evaporating anyone in the vicinicy, alongside the unfortunate wielder.
Effect: The weapon has the Poisoned (3+) USR - In addition, the weapon always deal one Hullpoint of damage on a 3+ when rolling for Armour Penetration, no matter if the result actually breaks the AV of the model in question.
Cost: 10 pt.

What you try such a system? Do you have ideas for other Daemon effects?

Adding additional Daemon effects to the same weapon could be offset by making them less reliable, since there'd presumably be multiple Daemons bound in one blade?

Nice. Perhaps make it so that you can only apply certain effects to certain types of weapons?

I.E:

Gore-burst
Daemons of Khorne have been bound to the bolt rounds fired by this weapon, making them explode in a high-pressure blast of blood and gore.

Restrictions:This effect may only be taken with the following weapons: Boltgun, Heavy Bolter, Bolt Pistol.

Effect: On a To Hit roll of 4+, this weapon gains the Concussive Special rule.

I like this a lot - So, on a to Hit roll of 1, you take the amount of S... 4 ? Hits equal to the number of Daemon effects you have? Maybe add extra S, going from 3 to 5?

Gorefeaster
The Daemon in this weapon is filled with hunger, endlessly thirsting for the blood of its enemies, and the physical Appearance of the Weapon is no doubt embedded with flesh, spikes and teeth, ever viciously gnarling and eagerly jittering to bury itself in the soft flesh of material beings.
Can only be taken by Melee Weapons.
Effect: The weapon has the Rampage USR. In addition, each casulty caused gives the weapon 1+ on the Rampage roll. Additionally, the bearer and his unit must make a Ld check, negatively modified by the amount casualties caused with the weapon, when within 12'' of an enemy unit. If failed, the unit must attempt to Charge, if appliable.

Whisperer of Secrets
A cunning Daemon of Tzeench has been bound in this Force Weapon, whispering maddening secrets to the wielder. Chaos Space Marines reap the terrible benefits of such a weapon without fear for their own safety, partially because their minds are as solid as adamantium, and partially because sanity is for the weak anyway.
Force Weapon only. Models affiliated with Tzeench or Chaos Undivided only.
The wielder of the Whisperer of Secrets may roll two more dice than normal when generating psychic powers, choosing which two powers to discard once all powers have been generated.
