So, I wasn't sure which forum to put this in so I'll ask here:

I've been looking at the AoS set as a pretty decent way of getting a bunch of really great models to start a Chaos army - adding a few bolters would be simple and you're getting a fantastic number of, what I think, are amazing minis. But I'm wondering if it'd be possible to convert the Sigmar models into other Chaos minis? I had an idea for making them something like uktra-pure and righteous evil, but I don't know what the 40K equivalent would be. Khorne warriors with wings - would these be daemons? What Chaos units could be converted from the Sigmar models? I also have no real interest in playing the AoS game itself.

I'm not as familiar with Chaos lore, so before taking the plunge and investing cash in something that ultimately wouldn't work, I figured I'd ask around. What would the potential be for making an entirely Chaos army from the AoS box be? I realize the Sigmarites could more ideally be turned into Sanguinary Guard but that's not what I'm looking for. I would wsnt to use all the models as one themed army.

Either here or painting and modeling work.

It shouldn't be too hard to mix in some different heads, bolters, etc into the mix.

Yeah - I don't want to start a BA army. I'd like to stick to Chaos, with the idea that the Sigmarites could possibly be converted into some kind of "fallen angel" models. Does Chaos have any kind of units the Sigmar models could conceivably be converted into?

Well the sigmarines are basicaly marines as it is, but I feel they'd fit with Blood Angels the best.

As for Chaos, you pretty much can convert anything in to a chaos model, just strap some spikes to it and give it a dirty paintjob.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

With the Sigmarines, a few possibilities came to mind.

1: Slaaneshi Warband obsessed with perfection, though probably would have to swap the hammers for swords.

2: A rubric marine element in which a sorcerer, in honor of his now little more than automaton brethren, converts their helmets into something more akin to death masks for each of them.

3: With some green stuffing and nurgly bits, a group of blood angels/sanguinary guard that was corrupted/infected by one - or several - of Nurgle's pestilences and ultimately fell (Dorn Heresy Blood Angels!)

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.
