One comment (ah-ah-ah!) for this awesome conversion![/Count]

It's a very cool idea, and nicely executed. The mask goes a long way to hiding the origin of the figure, and I think with a suitably colour for the paintjob, it'll further distance it.

I wonder if the swirling tornado that makes up his lower half would be improved with a few bits coming off it – at the moment it looks almost too smooth. Some wisps near the top might sell the idea of a magical cloud a little more.

That aside, it's a really cool concept. I like the pose of the hands, and the topknot works very well too. Is there a background reason he's in a chest rather than a ring or a lamp? I rather like it – makes things a bit more 'Warhammer' rather than folkloric.

Thank you, Apologist. Love your stuff, so I really appreciate you feedback.

With regard to the mask and the overall model, paint scheme will be crucial. I'm thinking blues. What color would you recommend for the mask?

As for the chest, it's just what I envisaged and had available.

Thanks!

Ah, cool

If you're going for a pulp-Mysterious Eastern vibe, and you're using blue for the skin, then you might consider pink for the veil/mask. It's a little-used colour, but works very well alongside pastel blues. Think of it as magenta!
If you're using darker blues, a nice bright yellow or orange would complement it well.

I'd also encourage you to add some dots – just hint at a pattern with a slightly lighter tint of the base colour and you'll get some nice effects.

For some other nice colour and pattern combinations, try searching for Persian tile design/pattern etc.
