love everything apart from the legs of the lady (but it is a prototype) and the chain as as the lead-rope, usually in horse riding the lead rope needs to be sturdy and light as to give better control which is why its usually made of lighter materials and not metal (unless she is a Mongolian horse expert and controls the horse with her legs)
the chain is not good as a lead-rope still lovely work.

Reins.
The chain is being used as reins.
If you're going to criticise, at least use the right terminology, plus I see little reason why chains wouldn't work quite satisfactorily.
As to her legs, if it's some detail you don't like, fair enough, but if it's positional, she's stood in her stirrups raising the standard, the pose is quite accurate.

She looks really nice!
I think if she is standing in the stirrups she needs to be a little farther off the saddle; I think that if she wasn't standing the stirrups would be 4-5 inches below her feet. It has been a little while since I have seen someone standing in the saddle though, so I might be wrong. In fact, the more I think of it, I am thinking of an English or racing saddle; western saddles have long stirrups.
I don't know about the chain, however. Our horses always had rather light leather reins, but they were Arabians not anything heavy, so maybe it is fine for bigger horses?
Anyway, looking forward to seeing more of this line of models!

Dude, it's not a horse! Automatically Appended Next Post: Plus the job of the reins is to connect the rider's hands to the bit, it is the bit that gives the animal direction. There are many designs of bit, from the very harsh to the very soft, but ultimately there's nothing inherent to chain that would make it unsuitable as reins excepting maybe it's weight and the hardness would make it uncomfortable to hold for longer periods.

Dude, Azreal, dial it back a little.
I was agreeing with you on the chain, as clearly this reindeer is heavier than a mid sized horse. If I wanted to argue with you I would have pointed out that the chain doesn't attach directly to the bit, but rather that disk at the back of the halter, which is going to be awkward no matter what it is made of.

I must admit I thought Stag was a universal term for all large deer, but apparently in some countries and cases "bull" is used. I agree it looks like a reindeer, but to me a male reindeer is a stag! Anyway, this being a fantasy world, it is "like a reindeer" rather than "a reindeer" and the local terminology is Stag.
