Given the AoS train wreck, the impending release of the KoW V2 rules and some stirrings of interest at my club I have been inspired to convert my old Night Goblin army into KoW and this is my first attempt. Given that I don't know a huge amount about the game does it look a) legal and b) workable?

Hey Silent Puffin,

I'd wait until Friday when the revised KoW 2nd edition PDF gets releases for free. There are several points changes and such that affect the goblin army list

However, it looks like based on what you have, your list will be completely legal in KoW (and a fairly good balanced army list). But definitely wait til Friday.

"...and special thanks to Judgedoug!" - Alessio Cavatore "Now you've gone too far Doug! ... Too far... " - Rick Priestley "I've decided that I'd rather not have you as a member of TMP." - Editor, The Miniatures Page "I'd rather put my testicles through a mangle than spend any time gaming with you." - Richard, TooFatLardies "We need a Doug Craig in every store." - Warlord Games "Thank you for being here, Judge Doug!" - Adam Troke

I looks like you have a KOW 1 list if you are including Musicians and Banners for units. You can still model them but they have been removed in 2nd edition.

It seems the links I had for the WIP rules is gone, so you may have to suffer til Friday when it is officially released.

Sincerely,

With 10 points spare. What is the average points value in V2?

2000 points is the new standard for v2, but the game plays great at the 1500 and 1000 points levels too.

For fast games my good lady and I tend to go with 1,500 - in part because we often combine our forces into a 3,000 point army with two elements. (Going by our example... dwarfs spend a lot of their time fighting dwarfs.... But get together to fight everybody else.)

The Auld Grump - typically, there is a fast dwarf army and a slow dwarf army. Either of us is likely to play either army. (And it is a joy to play dwarfs that have units that are fast enough to try flanking! I love me Brocks and Rangers!)

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.
