I'm getting ready to place an order for some Dark Eldar minis, and I was hoping to get some dos and don'ts from the community as to what I should be getting. I have already scratch-built some bombers and fighters, as well as a titan. What troops should I get, and about how many?

Hey! I really couldn't tell you - never played them, never played against them. But if you don't get any answers here, I'd suggest trying the tactical command forum, which is really the Epic hub on the internet and where new rules and army lists are being developed. Either the strategy, tactics and army lists subforum under Epic Armageddon or the NetEA Other Forces subforum at the bottom are good bets.

This is kind of what im going for. Also in the process of building mine. I got a great looking titan but it feels meh to me. Not sure if its worth the points, but I will make a list for him. when it says Raider, it means one for 2 stands. them being free is super great. As most transports are terrible (rhinos) these can actually kill things

Those are the exact minis that caught my eye! Since I have a ton of Dark Eldar already (40k & BFG), and it will be a while until there are enough Corrupted Sisters released to build a proper Chaos Marine army, I'll be going with those.

Thanks for the counts, all. I'm wondering if 6 packs of Raiders (18) will be enough though? It doesn't really matter until there are more than one pack in stock though. I guess the bright side is that the longer it takes him to restock the longer I'll have to save up for more goodies!

Will be more then enough. In my list if I counted right, id be using 8 total. (Mandrakes will garrison)

I went ahead and ordered more Ravagers, since they're the same as the Raider with some extra gunners that I can use for conversions later. I also found some 10mm tall ogres to convert into Grotesques, which is awesome.

Now I just need some Dracon/Archon minis. Any suggestions?

He's doing the characters at some point, along with Hellions, ACs and WEs.

Incubi, Warriors, Haemonculi and Wyches can take Raiders. Given the numbers above that be 3, 12, 6 and 6 Raiders, or 27 total to mount them. If you plan to take Warp Beasts that be another 2 as well.

Yeah, but waiting for him to get around to that would require patience, a thing I have only so much of. Looks like my buddy has some Craftworld Eldar laying around, so I can see about kitbashing them together with the metal minis.

I'll see how far 18 Raiders gets me, as I just dropped $250 on those guys, and that's not counting the bases, ogres, and plastic kits I bought!
